The renowned Cathedral Choir of St. James serves the 10:30 a.m. Sunday Mass, special occasions and concerts.  Their repertoire ranges from the traditional Chant of the early Church to modern Spirituals and everything in between.
The St. James Cathedral Choir serves the 10:30 am Sunday Mass weekly, and special liturgies, concerts and events throughout the year. The Cathedral Choir includes professional and volunteer singers from the Parish, as well as the Orlando area. The repertoire of the Cathedral choir encompasses everything from chant to modern day spirituals. Participation in the choir is by voice placement/meeting with the Director of Music. The ability to read music is strongly encouraged, but not required. Rehearsals are held on Wednesday nights from 7:00 p.m.- 9:00p.m. in the choir room, located in the basement level of the Cathedral office building. The choir is led by Adam Brakel, the Director of Music for the Diocese of Orlando, and St. James Cathedral.
